Nextplay is a global community of 19,000+ experienced Black & Latinx tech professionals across multiple business units--software engineers, sales, marketing, human resources, finance, legal, operations etc.
Our dynamic events (virtual & in person) are designed to inspire & educate through C suite keynote speakers, build community, create direct access to hiring managers and celebrate culture--live singers, dance performances, art, vendors and authentic food.
Members can identify tech companies where people of color are growing and making an impact.
Through anonymous company reviews from Black & Latinx employees, you can identify companies that have diverse leadership, employee resource groups, competitive pay, fast promotion cycles, inclusive cultures etc. Finding the right company is critical for maximum job satisfaction and rising to senior leadership in a timely manner.
People of color do not discuss salaries as openly as other groups. As a result, we ask for less money and earn $9k - $13k less than White and Asian tech employees according to Hired.
We want to start the discussion and encourage more transparency around salaries in our communities. This will ensure that we’re more aware of our market value, ask for more money and get compensated more competitively.
We’ve collected hundreds of salaries that are displayed as aggregated industry averages. Companies are not shared to protect privacy.
